Rotary Club of Mount Dora

The purpose of the Rotary Club of Mount Dora is to be a service organization for Mount Dora and the surrounding areas. Below is a list of some of the ways we help the community.

Provided upwards of $16,000.00 yearly in Scholarships to graduating High School Seniors.
Presented the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and sponsored high school sophomores and juniors on a three-day Leadership Conference delivered by Rotary International.
Sponsor the annual Old Fashion 4th of July Parade/Event in downtown Mount Dora .
Provided a Christmas Party for the HRS children who live at the Mount Dora Christian Home & Bible School. Rotarians donated a gift for each child, served pizza and cookies, and invite Santa to spend some time with them.
Held Casino Night and Reverse Auction Fundraiser open to the community for a "Fun Night" out.
Chicken Dinner events were hosted by the Mount Dora Rotary Club raising money for scholarships.
Mount Dora Rotarians raise funds by parking cars in a lot donated by the Hobscott Pet Supplies during the Mount Dora Crafts Fair and Art Festival as a fundraiser.
Every Quarter Mount Dora Rotary holds a auction at a weekly meeting. Our goal is to raise $250.00 per auction.
Provided a local disabled camper a week stay at Amputee Camp.
Each year a Speech Contest is held to help build self confidence in High School students. Prizes are awarded.
Mount Dora Rotary along with the Kiwanis Club in 2004 jointly raise the cost of building a Habitat for Humanity house in Mount Dora.
Rotary financially supports the following on an ongoing basis: YMCA, Anthony House, Sunrise Arc, Mount Dora Library Association, Interact Club, Project Graduation, Scout Reach Campership Fund, Polio Plus, Mount Dora High School Music Department, & Cottage Education.
A Golf Tournament is sponsored by Rotary each year to raise funds for our many donations.
